If you love winter activities on the slopes, you know you’ve got to prepare yourself just a little differently than other sports. This video guides you through some of the best exercises for downhill skiing and snowboarding conditioning. You’ll focus on eccentric moves – those that use absorbing force rather than producing force, just like on the mountain – to strengthen your quads, hamstrings, and core. So, hit play on this one several times before you hit the slopes!
This workout does not include a warm-up or cool-down, but we have some great options here!

Expect to have a blast and blast fat with this Studio SWEAT onDemand 20 to 30 Minute (depending on if you do 2 or 3 rounds) Mommy (or Daddy) and Me workout. It’s great to do from home with your baby, toddler, or pre-school aged kiddo. There are 4 heart-pumping, body-sculpting super-sets, each having 3 exercises, one for the lower-body, followed by one for the upper-body, and finishing with one for the core.
Having kids doesn’t mean you can’t be in shape! As a matter of fact, you can use them as your workout tool, which is awesome because as they grow, so does the level of difficulty, right!? Just be careful, and if you don’t feel comfortable doing any of the exercises holding them, just put them at your side and let them watch you break a quick sweat.

This upper-body lifting class is all done seated – that’s why it’s called the Seated Strength Workout! It might be a good strength workout for those in wheelchairs, those with physical challenges that don’t allow them to stand for long periods of time (or at all), or those just looking to isolate the upper-body and lift heavy. We aren’t saying it will work for all, but it will likely work for many, so grab some weights and let’s get that swull on!
